Privacy Policy

Effective: May 2026 · Last updated: May 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Tyler Holloway ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use Happy Toasty and any other mobile application or game we publish that links to this policy (each an "App," and collectively the "Apps"). The same policy applies to every App that points here; references to "Happy Toasty" below are illustrative and the same principles govern any other App in this family. Apps that ship their own dedicated privacy policy (linked from their App Store listing or in-app About screen) are governed by that policy instead. By using any App covered by this policy, you agree to the collection and use of information described below.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) directly. Happy Toasty does not require account creation, sign-in, email, or any other personal details to play. The App does, however, integrate third-party advertising services that may collect certain technical and behavioral information automatically.

1.1 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, the following may be collected:

  • Device information: device model, operating system version, screen size, language, and time zone.
  • Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) on iOS: only if you grant permission through the App Tracking Transparency prompt described in Section 2.
  • Ad interaction data: which ads you saw, whether you tapped them, and rough engagement metrics — used by Google AdMob to fill ad inventory and prevent fraud.
  • Approximate location (country/region level), inferred from your IP address by ad networks for ad-targeting purposes. We do not collect or store precise GPS location.
  • Crash and performance data (if any), used solely to fix bugs and improve stability.

We do not collect:

  • Your name, email address, phone number, or postal address.
  • Your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera input.
  • Precise GPS location.
  • Any data about other apps installed on your device.

1.2 Game Progress

Your in-game progress (current level, star ratings, unlocked content, settings) is stored locally on your device using iOS's standard UserDefaults storage. It is not transmitted to us or any third party. If you delete the App, this data is removed.

2. App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

On iOS 14.5 and later, Apple requires apps to ask permission before tracking you across other apps and websites. The first time you open Happy Toasty, you will see a system prompt asking whether you allow the App to track your activity.

  • If you tap "Ask App Not to Track," Google AdMob will not have access to your IDFA, and the ads you see will be non-personalized.
  • If you tap "Allow," AdMob may use your IDFA to deliver more relevant ads.

You can change this choice at any time: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Happy Toasty.

3. Third-Party Services

3.1 Google AdMob

Happy Toasty displays ads served by Google AdMob, a service operated by Google LLC. AdMob may collect and use information as described in Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

To opt out of personalized advertising on a per-device basis on iOS, see Section 2.

3.2 Apple App Store

The App is distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple may collect certain information about your download and use of the App as described in Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive personal information from Apple beyond aggregated, anonymized download and engagement statistics.

4. How We Use Information

The limited information collected by our third-party providers is used to:

  • Display advertisements within the App.
  • Measure ad performance and prevent fraudulent or invalid ad activity.
  • Improve App stability by fixing crashes.
  • Comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Children's Privacy

Happy Toasty is rated for a general audience but is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at the address in Section 10 and we will take steps to remove it.

If your child uses Happy Toasty, we recommend you:

  • Decline ATT tracking on their device.
  • Enable Apple's Screen Time and Ask to Buy controls.

6. Your Rights

6.1 European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland (GDPR)

If you are located in these regions, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data processed about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of that data.
  • Object to or restrict its processing.
  • Withdraw consent (e.g., revoke ATT permission) at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Because we do not directly collect personal data, requests in this category are typically directed to Google AdMob, who acts as the data controller for ad-related data. Their privacy contact is available at Google's Privacy Help Center.

6.2 California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what categories of personal information are collected.
  • Request deletion of personal information.
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We do not sell personal information for monetary compensation. Opting out of ATT (Section 2) effectively prevents the cross-context "sharing" relevant to the CPRA. To exercise other rights, contact us at the address in Section 10.

7. Data Retention

  • On-device game data: stored until you delete the App or clear its storage.
  • Ad-related data collected by AdMob: retained per Google's data retention practices, which you can review at the link in Section 3.1.

We ourselves do not maintain servers that store user data.

8. Data Security

Because we do not collect or store user data on our own infrastructure, the security of your data is governed by Apple (App Store distribution and on-device storage) and Google (AdMob ad delivery). Both companies operate industry-standard security practices.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through an in-App notice or App Store update notes. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

10. Contact Us

For privacy questions, requests, or complaints, contact Tyler Holloway at zoomateserver@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days of receiving a verifiable request.
